Christian Community in Bhaktapur decides to organize an open programme to celebrate Christmas
Tuesday 04th of December 2007 [ ???????, ????? १८, २०६४ ]

 A  one-day meeting of key church leaders in Bhaktapur district was  held in Bhaktapur on the 1st December 2007 with the joint coordination of Valley Christian Council (VCC) and Bhaktapur Samyukta Christian Sangati and with the support of NCCN. One of the major objectives of the programme was to make the church leaders in Bhaktapur clear about the vision, Mission, objectives and activities of NCCN and to di

scuss about the future activities in Bhaktapur that can be organized with joint effort of NCCN and the local Churches. A 4-member team led by General Secretary Dr. K.B. Rokaya participated in the programme representing NCCN.

 

The programme was started with introduction and Christmas greetings exchange among the participants. Then Dr. Rokaya made an elaborate presentation about the vision, objectives and activities of NCCN. Dr. Rokaya also spoke about the present country situation including peace process and human rights and the challenge for the Christian community as the lovers of peace and justice.

The participants of the programme, on behalf of Christian Community in Bhaktapur,  honored Dr. Rokaya for his role in peace, justice, human rights and challenging  Church leaders to be actively involved broader social issues.

 

The meeting has decided to organize an open programme in Bhaktapur to celebrate Christmas. All political party representatives, leaders of all religious communities, local government officials, media, and civil society members   will be invited in this programme.
